    This 75-minute Arm Balance/Inversion conditioning practice builds your confidence and muscles to be inversion-ready. If you've always wanted to get inverted, we will help you be in headstand or flying into arm balancing poses! Learn the architecture to establish yourself in a pose, as well as the sequencing to lay down the ground-work to get you there. Suitable for yoga practitioner with a consistent practice and comfortable being upside down. This class build on body stability and awareness acquired in Level 1 and 2 classes to take on inversions poses and their variations.
  2. Aerial Hammock (studio) (karma studio pass: deduct 15 credits)

    The Aerial Hammock is an apparatus used most commonly for Aerial Yoga, Aerial Sling & Aerial fitness classes. This apparatus is the made of the same material as the aerial silks, just tied differently to create a “loop”. Classes using the aerial hammock can include warm ups, conditioning, stretching, tricks, inversions & restorative movements. Suitable for all levels.

    Yoga Detox is a safe and effective way to rid the body of harmful toxins that have built up over time. This is achieved through through yoga asana’s, meditation, and followed with highly nutritious super foods. All of these tools aid to restore the body to its optimum health and then build vitality through lifestyle changes. Yoga detox is not the same as a drug or alcohol detox. A yoga detox program uses yoga exercises (asanas) to support the body in eliminating toxins that build up through the course of everyday life in the body’s digestive, endocrine and lymphatic systems. Specific yoga asanas are used to place the body in various positions to stimulate and support specific organs in regaining health and balance, or in naturally assisting your body in detoxing the lymphatic system. A combination of the yoga exercises shoulder-stand and fish may be used, for example, to harmonize secretions from the thyroid gland, and the twist may be practiced to activate and detox the liver and pancreas. This is a moderately paced class including a mixture of dynamic flowing postures, static poses, strength building, mobility and flexibility. Breath is an important aspect of this class and is included during the postures and often during meditation. Expect to expand your awareness during this class, and understand your body, breath, mind and spirit in an intimate and practical way. This class builds on the necessary body stability acquired in Level 1 classes to take on more challenging asanas and sequences.

    The Heart Chakra, located at the center of the chest, is thought to be tied to love, balance, intimacy, and compassion, among other things. A blocked Heart Chakra can present itself in a person in many ways: antisocial, withdrawn, cold, critical, judgmental, intolerant of self or others, loneliness, isolation, depression, fear of intimacy, fear of relationships, lack of empathy, or narcissism. All of this said, practicing heart opening poses is a great way to work on unblocking this chakra, making more room in your life for love and compassion.many heart opening poses are also backbends.     Hatha yoga is a sequence of Yoga postures designed to strengthen and align the spine. Through a series of standing, balancing, floor and breathing exercises, you will safely achieve greater strength, flexibility, overall health and vitality as you breathe from one posture to the next. The room is heated in order to help safely align the body, allow for deeper stretch and opening, and aid in detoxification. In other words, the heat will enhance your practice. The word literally means "forceful" or "Sun and Moon." The practice helps open energy channels, especially the main channel of the spine. This allows for a better free flow of energy and balance of the internal and external organs. The timing of our breath is important because our conscious mind, when connected to the breath cycle brings us into the present moment. That is where change occurs - here and now.
